What we have done, what we have not finished, and how to reach us if something is in your way.
Our commitment
A dental office should be easy to reach — on the phone, at the door, and on the web. We are working to conform this website to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
What we have done
- Every page opens with a "skip to content" link for keyboard and screen reader users.
- All 43 images carry descriptive alternative text. None are left empty.
- Body text and buttons are tested for contrast against our plum and gold brand colors.
- Menus, dropdowns, and buttons can be operated by keyboard alone.
- Pages use a single, correctly ordered heading structure so screen readers can navigate by section.
- Text resizes to 200% without breaking the layout, and the site reflows on small screens.
- Landmark regions — navigation, main, footer — are labeled.
- Phone numbers are click-to-call links, and no interaction depends on hovering or on color alone.
Where we know we fall short
We would rather tell you than let you find out. Two patient video testimonials on the home page do not yet have captions or a transcript. Some decorative icons are announced by screen readers as unlabeled graphics. We are working on both.
In the office
Our entrance and operatories are on one level and are wheelchair accessible. We schedule longer appointments on request for patients who need more time or a slower pace, and we can accommodate sensory sensitivities — dimmed lights, noise-reducing headphones, a quiet room, a support person in the operatory. Dr. Rowe and members of the team speak Spanish. Tell us what you need when you book and we will have it ready.
