The Case for Implants

Why Choose Dental Implants?

Unlike bridges or dentures, implants replace the root — not just the crown. That difference is everything.

Lifetime Durability

Titanium implants fuse with your jawbone and can last a lifetime with routine care. No replacements, no adhesives.

Natural Look & Feel

Custom-matched crowns look identical to surrounding teeth. Patients routinely forget which tooth was replaced.

Preserves Jaw Bone

The implant post stimulates bone just like a natural root, preventing the bone loss and facial shrinkage that dentures allow.

No Neighboring Teeth Ground Down

Unlike a bridge, implants stand alone. We never need to shave healthy adjacent teeth to support the restoration.

Cost-Effective Long-Term

Dentures need relining, rebasing, and replacement every 5–8 years. A well-placed implant can outlast all of them combined.

Eat, Speak & Smile Freely

No dietary restrictions, no slipping, no clicking. Implants function exactly like the teeth they replace — because they're anchored the same way.

Treatment Options

Which Implant Solution Is Right for You?

From a single missing tooth to full-arch replacement — Dr. Rowe will recommend the right fit at your free consultation.

Single Tooth Implant

One implant post + one custom crown replaces a single missing tooth without touching neighboring teeth. The most common procedure.

Implant + abutment + crown — everything included

Implant Bridge

Two implants anchor a bridge spanning multiple missing teeth — eliminating the need to grind down healthy teeth that a traditional bridge requires.

Implant-Supported Denture

Several implants anchor a full denture so it never slips, clicks, or requires adhesive paste. A major quality-of-life upgrade for existing denture wearers.

Common Questions

Dental Implant FAQs

How much do dental implants cost at Comfort Family Dental?

A single implant is $1,100 all-in — that includes the implant post, abutment, and custom porcelain crown. No hidden fees, no surprise add-ons. Financing starts at $89/month with no credit check required. Most PPO insurance accepted.

Am I a good candidate for dental implants?

Most adults with one or more missing teeth are candidates. The key factors are adequate jawbone density and healthy gums. If bone loss has occurred, bone grafting may be needed first. Dr. Rowe will assess this at your free consultation with X-rays.

Does the implant procedure hurt?

The placement is done under local anesthesia — you'll feel pressure but not pain. Oral sedation is available if you're anxious. Post-procedure soreness is typically managed with over-the-counter pain relievers and resolves within a few days.

How long does the whole process take?

From placement to final crown, most cases take 3–6 months — the majority of that is healing time, not chair time. Some cases qualify for same-day or same-week crowns. Dr. Rowe will give you a timeline at your consultation.

Do you accept insurance for implants?

Yes — we accept most PPO dental insurance. Coverage varies by plan; many plans cover the crown portion but not the implant itself. Our front desk will verify your benefits before your appointment so you know your exact out-of-pocket cost upfront.

Can I get sedation for my implant procedure?

Absolutely. Dr. Rowe is sedation-certified and offers all three options here in the office — nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral sedation (a pill taken before your appointment), and IV sedation. Nothing is referred out. Many anxious patients find oral sedation more than sufficient, but if you need IV sedation for a longer or more complex case, it is available in this building.

Ready to Replace That Missing Tooth?

The consultation is free. The pricing is transparent. And we're right here on 95th Street in Beverly — your South Side implant destination.
