Implant Placement
A small titanium post (the new “root”) is placed in the jawbone under local anesthesia. Nitrous, oral, or IV sedation available.
Healing Period
3–6 months for osseointegration — the bone grows around the post and locks it in place. A temporary is worn during this time.
Crown Placement
Custom porcelain crown, color-matched to your teeth, is permanently attached to the abutment (the small connector that joins the post to the crown).

How much do dental implants cost at Comfort Family Dental?
A single implant is $1,100 all-in — that includes the implant post, abutment, and custom porcelain crown. No hidden fees, no surprise add-ons. Flexible financing and an in-house payment plan are available. Most PPO insurance accepted.
Am I a good candidate for dental implants?
Most adults with one or more missing teeth are candidates. The key factors are adequate jawbone density and healthy gums. If bone loss has occurred, bone grafting may be needed first. Dr. Rowe will assess this at your free consultation with X-rays.
Does the implant procedure hurt?
The placement is done under local anesthesia — you'll feel pressure but not pain. Nitrous, oral, or IV sedation is available if you're anxious. For a single implant, soreness is usually managed with over-the-counter pain relievers and settles within a few days. Larger or full-arch cases may need prescription pain medication for the first few days.
How long does the whole process take?
From placement to final crown, most cases take 3–6 months — the majority of that is healing time, not chair time. Some cases can get a same-day temporary tooth; the permanent crown follows after healing. Dr. Rowe will give you a timeline at your consultation.
Do you accept insurance for implants?
Yes — we accept most PPO dental insurance. Coverage varies by plan; many plans cover the crown portion but not the implant itself. Our front desk will verify your benefits before your appointment so you know your exact out-of-pocket cost upfront.
Can I get sedation for my implant procedure?
Absolutely. Dr. Rowe is sedation-certified and offers all three options here in the office — nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral sedation (a pill taken before your appointment), and IV sedation. Nothing is referred out. Many anxious patients find oral sedation is enough, but if you need IV sedation for a longer or more complex case, it's available right here.
