What Are All-on-4 Dental Implants?
All-on-4 is a full-arch tooth replacement system that uses just four strategically angled titanium implants to anchor a complete set of fixed, permanent teeth. Unlike traditional dentures, All-on-4 teeth never come out — they're brushed and maintained just like natural teeth.
The angled placement of the rear implants takes advantage of existing bone density, often eliminating the need for bone grafting even in patients who've been missing teeth for years. Most patients receive temporary teeth the same day implants are placed.

How much do All-on-4 implants cost at Comfort Family Dental?
All-on-4 with a PMMA bridge starts at $10,999 per arch — all-inclusive. That covers the implants, extractions, any needed bone graft, and the fixed PMMA bridge. Upgrading to zirconia is available at an additional charge discussed at consultation. Flexible financing is available — ask about low monthly payment options at your free visit.
Am I a candidate for All-on-4 if I've had bone loss?
Possibly yes — that's one of All-on-4's main advantages. The rear implants are angled to engage denser bone further back in the jaw, which often allows patients with significant bone loss to avoid grafting entirely. Dr. Rowe will assess your bone density with a 3D CBCT scan at your free consultation.
Will I have teeth the same day as my surgery?
In most cases, yes. A temporary bridge is attached to the implants the same day they're placed. You'll leave with a functional set of teeth. The temporary is replaced with your permanent PMMA or zirconia restoration after the healing period (typically 3–6 months).
Does the procedure hurt?
The surgery is performed under local anesthesia — you'll feel pressure but not pain. Oral sedation and IV sedation are available for anxious patients. Post-procedure discomfort is typically managed with prescribed pain medication and resolves within a few days to a week.
How long do All-on-4 implants last?
The implants themselves are designed to last a lifetime. The PMMA bridge is a durable long-term provisional — some patients upgrade to zirconia after several years. Zirconia restorations are built to last decades with proper care (brushing, flossing, and regular cleanings).
Do you accept insurance for All-on-4?
We accept most PPO dental insurance plans. Coverage for All-on-4 varies significantly by plan — some cover the surgical phase (implant placement) while others cover the prosthetic phase. Our front desk will verify your benefits before your consultation so you know your out-of-pocket cost upfront.
What's the difference between PMMA and Zirconia?
PMMA (acrylic) is a strong, tooth-colored material used for the fixed bridge — it's durable, affordable, and looks great. Zirconia is the premium option: harder, more stain-resistant, and virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. Both are fixed permanently to your implants. Dr. Rowe will walk you through the pros and cons of each at your consultation.
